General Notices

AN APPEAL FOR QUIET

A sign is available saying ‘Talk to God before Mass and to each other after Mass’. It’s been getting rather noisy before Sunday services lately, so to spare the expense of a couple of signs, please try to keep the noise down when you come in to worship. Thank you.

TRIANGLE BOOKSTORE

Please remember the Triangle Bookstore in Kingsmead, Farnborough for all your Christian and other book supplies. They also run an excellent café.

OCCASIONAL OFFICES

If you’re thinking of booking a Baptism or a Wedding in the parish, best get in touch with Fr Martyn as soon as you can, especially if you’re hoping for a popular summer date.

ALL CHANGE, PLEASE

Money raised by the loose change jars has risen £2,169.  Coins of 1p, 2p and 5p value are still wanted as we work towards our next thousand!   Remember to bring your loose change in week by week as this is a painless way to raise a worthwhile sum.

RINGERS REQUIRED

Our tower is a little depleted at the moment, so if anyone who rings would like to join them or newcomers would like to learn, please let David Leach know on 01276 34991.

FLOWERS IN CHURCH

Anyone is welcome to sponsor the flowers at our churches, perhaps for an anniversary or birthday or in memory of a loved one. Please speak to Anne Leppard or Joan Dimmick for details. If you would like a notice placed in this weekly sheet detailing your sponsorship, please give Fr Martyn a written note in good time (preferably a week before the date). Thank you.

HALLS FOR HIRE

Our two halls, at Trinity and All Saints’, are available for hire by groups and individuals for regular lets or one-off occasions. Our rates are very reasonable. For Trinity Hall call Sue Evans (01276 32816) for All Saints’ call Joan Dimmick (01276 32278).

ON THE LOOKOUT

We get quite a few people at church who are with us for the first time. If there’s someone you don’t recognise in your row, why not encourage them to stay for coffee after the service? It’s a good way of making them welcome.

OVER 60?

The Friday Club meets every Friday at Ratcliffe House at the almshouses at the A 30 roundabout end of Hawley Road between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. There are various activities and a break for tea and cakes. All over 60s are welcome to come along for a visit. Who knows? - you might want to join us regularly. Free

DING DONG

Come and join the Hawley Handbell Ringers. You don’t need to read music as it’s all done by numbers. If you can count to 4 and recognise numbers up to 12, you can be part of the team who enjoy Thursday evening practices. More information from Una Simpkins on 01276 34250.

HAWLEY CHARITIES

Fr Martyn is a trustee of the Hawley Charities and can recommend those living in the parish for a grant in case of genuine need. He is also a trustee of Relief in Need which can make grants to those living in Hart or Rushmoor. Please approach him in confidence.
