Saints surround us with their fellowship, support us with their prayers and they encourage us with their example. The saints present us with an astonishing array of backgrounds and gifts.
Among this "great cloud of witnesses" there is certain to be a saint for you. It is a mark of God's grace that he provides for our spiritual need and one means of this is the communion of saints.
As the church's year unfolds, let the saints introduce themselves to you and seek that special friend ( or friends) whose example inspires and strengthens you; invite them to be a companion on the way, a soul friend and example in the household of faith.

We thank God for all these Saints and ask their prayers for us and for the Church today.
