Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth:
When love is in our hearts we will seek the good, the truth and we will live in righteousness. Instead of promoting evil and injustice, love seeks to end it. Seek the good for our neighbor. The very nature of love is found in wanting the best for everyone. Therefore, when a man has love in his heart, he seeks good and not evil for those around him.
If love sees an evil or an injustice, it is saddened. Love will make you defend and do the right thing. It will make you despise evil. In fact, it will make you hate it. It will make you hate the mere idea that someone is mistreated or abused. Love sees the injustices of the world and wants to end them. Love sees an abused child and rescues him. He sees a woman being mugged and comes to her aid. See someone hungry and feed them. See someone hurt and comfort them. He sees someone being careless and gives him what he needs. Jesus Christ expressed it best when he said in Matthew 25: 35-36 “Because I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and I was you took care of me, I was in jail and you came to visit me. ” When love is in our hearts, we will do these things and many more. Love seeks good and if it does not find it, it brings good. Evil always has a victim, but love always has a beneficiary. The nature of love is to make everyone a beneficiary, not a victim.
Proverbs 6: 16-19 says: “Six things the LORD hates, and seven things he abhors his soul: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet in haste to rush into the wicked, the false witness who speaks lies and the man who stirs up dissension between brothers. ”
Love does not abuse, it does not manipulate and it does explode. It does not cause suffering. Men, when we have love in our hearts, we don’t want to hurt anyone. Whether they be our wives, families, friends, or complete strangers, we will not seek to cause pain, harm, or misfortune to anyone. We will not explode, because that is selfish. We are not going to lie because that is deception. We will not manipulate, because that is a form of control.
Another aspect of not rejoicing in evil is that if we do something wrong, we should seek to correct it. Try as we may, we are not perfect. With anger or frustration, there are times when we can say something that is inappropriate or hurtful. We can do something that we know is wrong and disrespectful. When we perceive or are notified that we have done wrong, we must apologize and seek to correct it. Remember, love is not proud. Sometimes it is very difficult to admit when we are wrong onlyfans free trial links
and then it can be even more difficult to ask for forgiveness. This is what love does. True love seeks restoration and harmony. Seek forgiveness and accountability. A real man is able to admit when he is wrong and ask for forgiveness. However, seeking forgiveness is not enough. Then we must repent. Repenting means walking away and never committing the same offense again. We must learn from our mistakes and become better men.
If we are to be the men God has intended us to be, we must have a heart that does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in truth.
Now here is a question for you, what is truth? Many people have tried to define the truth over the years. In the book of John, chapter 6 verse 4, Jesus Christ makes this powerful statement. “I’m the way, the truth and the life.” What does Jesus mean by this statement? Jesus is saying that he is the way, so you never get lost. He is the truth so that you will never be deceived, and he is the life so that you will have eternal life. You see, with Jesus we have the fullness of love. “Do with others what you want them to do with you” (Matthew 7,12), “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for friends”. (John 15:13), Love one another. As I have loved you, so must you love one another. ” (John 13:34) “… God is love.” (1 John 4: 8)
